What’s going on, guys? Guys, it looks like we have some major, major Avengers: Doomsday first huge set leaks coming in the way of photos now and confirmed from a trusted source. And as it pertains to a video we ran just yesterday talking about headlines reporting Wolverine’s official return for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. Now, as it would be, those reports were based on a stunt double of Hugh Jackman’s.
Posting from Pinewood Studios, where they’re currently filming Doomsday. But as we said in yesterday’s video, that guy has been in like 13 Marvel movies, which Hugh Jackman hasn’t been in, and he’s done most of the work in Infinity War, Avengers Endgame, Civil War, and other big films. So him simply posting from a Marvel set didn’t mean Hugh Jackman was returning. Well, not so fast. And again, coming from the trusted source that’s been leaking the behind-the-scenes set photos, we may have some major ones on the way.

Okay, so today’s news comes from the same exact source at Unboxed PhD that has had all of the set footage aerial drone shots that we’ve been covering in the video footage we’ve been covering here at the channel. If you watch channels like mine, there’s a good chance you’ve seen it already. He has his own YouTube channel where he’s posting that again at Unboxed PhD.
and he went ahead and tweeted out, And for the record, I have absolutely zero problem with him giving a tease like that before he actually drops it and getting more juice out of it. That is a major capture. And as we’ve said in almost every video covering that said footage, it was only a matter of time before they weren’t empty sets, but they were sets with actual actors on them, and…
This is almost exactly what happened with Deadpool and Wolverine, and Marvel even ran out that shot of him in the yellow suit alongside Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool preemptively because they knew there was about to be drone footage of Wolverine in a yellow suit on set. Now, if all the leaks and rumors are true about this huge X-Men vs. Avengers set piece that’s said to take place in this X-Mansion courtyard set that we’ve seen with the huge Sentinel, and maybe even include Doctor Doom as well, you have to imagine Wolverine being a part of that.
would be a dream, and I’m hoping that’s what he’s talking about. However, if he’s just capturing pictures of Wolverine alone and on set, that doesn’t really sound like a huge major set piece with everybody else. That would be an update like X-Men on set or Avengers on set. But because of this exact same source, we may know exactly which scene he’s filming for, and really, it would only be Wolverine and Deadpool that would get caught in the shot. That’s because over a month ago on Box PhD,
From one of his drone footages, posted clear shots of what was a makeshift set to replicate the scene we see in Deadpool and Wolverine right as they walk out from the building and where they fought the Deadpool core. That exact same set was built as a replica and clearly shot in the drone footage again that Unboxed PhD unveiled a month ago. Now, obviously, this is the slimmest of updates. It’s unclear when and if we’re ever going to get these photos from Unboxed PhD, and if we do, just how much detail is included.
He’s posted some other set photos as well that aren’t just aerial drone shots but rather one of the actors walking in and out of a house with a green door. And we speculated and had some theories about what that could be, but those photos were mostly obscured. You couldn’t see the actor’s face or really tell who it was or what was going on. Again, no context for the photos at all. For him to say he’s got shots of Wolverine filming on set for Avengers: Doomsday means it’s clearly Wolverine. It’ll be really interesting to see.
From what angle they’re taking it, what other characters are there, or what other details can we get from the photos themselves, other than just the confirmation that indeed Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is a part of this film, and his stunt double posting from Pinewood might not have been, well, confirmation of that, but it certainly looks like now this would be. Now the leaks and rumors, the speculation and theories about what’s happening in this very first act of Avengers Doomsday, have been pretty thorough, and we’ve covered them all here at the channel.
If you’re not caught up, just go back about a month, start watching the Avengers Doomsday videos, and you’ll be all the way filled in. But none of it, none of it, references them sort of crossing the multiverse and/or time and accessing different film scenes we’ve already seen. This would seem to be something that maybe was foreshadowed with that Fantastic Four ship coming in the post-credit scene of the Thunderbolts. Maybe the Fantastic Four are on their way across the multiverse, stopping off at different points to assemble an ultimate team.
Or perhaps the rumors we’ve heard about Loki assembling a Prime Avengers, or what we’ve heard in recent leaks labeled as the Invincible Avengers, will include them traveling across the multiverse, stopping off in scenes we’ve already seen to pick up key characters, and in this case, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. Of course the Rousseaus, Marvel Studios, and us, the fans,
No one wants a redo on Infinity War or, more likely, Avengers Endgame with the time travel to change key events and scenes there, or really what we’ve seen in multiple volumes of What If on the Disney Plus TV show with a Guardians of the Multiverse, so to speak. There’s got to be something new and unique about this, and it is super curious why in the world, again, we’d be revisiting a key scene from Deadpool and Wolverine. Sort of makes you wonder if there aren’t other key scenes that we’re going to see now with them revisiting.
And how is that going to feel any different than what we saw in Avengers: Endgame? Now for just a little housekeeping as it pertains to these leaks because they are coming, and it’s not again going to be empty sets this time; it’s going to have actors in costumes, it’s going to be the video, etc. Just like it was for Deadpool and Wolverine. Quick reminder, they’re allowed to do this because legally, if something is filmed outside and you capture video of it, you’re allowed to do that. That’s why they shoot the really important stuff behind closed doors on a soundstage.
But it always looks better when you’re on set. And that’s why they’re building these massive sets outside, running the risk of drone footage from people like Unboxed PhD, who go to great lengths to get it. We will not be putting any of the shots of the actors in the thumbnails. So you won’t have to worry about opening up YouTube and seeing a thumbnail with an actual shot of the actor without looking away or getting your head run into a spoiler.
We learned our lesson with Deadpool and Wolverine. A lot of you wished we had just left the title as it was. A different thumbnail, and if you want to click on the video, you can see it. Of course, you’re going to have to dodge it on Instagram, Twitter, and all the other social media accounts as well. And we’ll put the footage in the video; we just won’t put it in the thumbnail so you don’t have to worry about running into that as soon as you open up YouTube. You’ll be able to basically avoid the spoiler by not clicking on the video, but man…
It’s going to be really hard, especially on Twitter. That stuff is going to spread like wildfire. It always does.
